Jil Sander is a soul mate of Miuccia. The German designer’s clothes, rumored to be both the best fitting and most expensive on the Milan runway, look more like sketches than real garments.
Her new asymmetrical skirt in space-like metallic techno fabric, presented during Thursday’s early morning show, looks like it could stand on its own. And yet when worn down the runway, it moves with soft ease.
There are fewer suits in this round of Sander fashion, but plenty of short and long jackets that paired with low-waisted skirts or wide trousers could almost pass for a wear-to-work outfit.
There is also a sports theme in this collection, with its cropped polo shirts, rubberized sweat jackets and silver golf shoes. But like the Prada masterpieces, these outfits are almost too precious for healthy perspiration.
Karl Lagerfeld is another brainy “moda Milanese” designer, whose eccentric creativity never ceases to amaze. The pony-tailed, German-born designer has shared his talent with the Christian louboutin’s for several decades. This season he produced many giggles and some gags by creating a millennium Christian louboutin paris collection featuring techno foam fabrics, violent slits, screaming neon shades and oversized shapes.
While the look was definitely projected into a hopefully not-too-near future,Christian Louboutin Shoes, a skimpy ribbon train, trailing behind a gigantic foam skirt, was a nostalgic reminder of the passing century.
